On Tuesday night Jon Solomon and I went to see the Mighty Boosh in Manhattan. The first stop was at Other Music on 4th St., where the whole cast was signing autographs.
They sold out of DVDs, so I got them to sign a copy of Frank Zappa’s Waka Jawaka, which I just so happened to have on my person.
We also got our pictures taken with Bob Fossil and Howard Moon respectively, and I even got Naboo the Enigma to turn his back on me!.Very Cool.
Afterward we scuttled over to the Bowery Ballroom to see them perform a whole variety of skits and songs. We somehow managed to get past several thousand person line by saying we were one some guest list that did not exist, and the show rocked! Vince Noir seemed to really have it out for these Scottish girls who kept interupting him from the balcony. I wonder if English audiences are so confrontational?
