The festival is going to exhibit historic items that were part of the early stages of New Jersey’s vast “transportation” history. On display will be all types of restored vintage locomotives, cabooses, boxcars, and passenger cars along with antique automobiles, buses, trucks and military vehicles.
You can also see the famed GG-1 #4877, an 8000 hp electric locomotive, built in 1939 for the Pennsylvania Railroad. It continued to pull passenger trains for NJ Transit up until 1983.
Admission to the event is a donation of $5 per person, or $10 per family. All ages are welcome and all proceeds will go to further preserving New Jersey’s rich transportation heritage.
