It’s one thing to have a collection, but maintaining it is a whole different can of worms.
Trenton Museum decided to take a new and different approach to museum maintenance. With their Adopt an Artifact program, patrons got to adopt works of art, books and figurines from the collection.
Some 20 artifacts were restored and repaired– and now you can see them, any time from October, 2013 to February 9th.
Here’s a non-comprehensive list of the things that you can take a gander at:
1. Porcelain figures with names like “Crested Titmouse” and “Alaskan Native American Woman”
2. A Nautilus Shell Vase
3. Mid 19th century Trenton City Directories
4. Paintings like “Bronciculator” and “Farmer’s Tan”
