Join WPRB and hundreds of artists of all ages at ART ALL NIGHT-TRENTON 2009! Art All Night-Trenton is a 24-hour long art and entertainment celebration happening at the Museum of Contemporary Science (675 South Clinton Avenue) in downtown Trenton, NJ. Art All Night-Trenton begins at 3:00 PM on Saturday 6/20, runs through the night until 3:00 PM Sunday 6/21.
Art All Night-Trenton takes place in the Chambersburg section of Trenton in a sprawling 50,000 square foot factory building. The site of Art All Night is a former Roebling Machine Shop and played an important part in manufacturing parts to construct the Brooklyn Bridge.
What is Art All Night-Trenton? It’s a 24-hour (literally) art and entertainment event! An opportunity for four-year-old refrigerator artists, spirited novices and seasoned professionals to display one piece of art in a gallery like setting and for the public to enjoy that art in a dramatic renovated urban space.
Submitting art to and attending Art All Night-Trenton is FREE and open to the public!
Last year over 500 artists of all ages, skill levels and mediums submitted work and more than 5,000 people attended. Join in to enjoy live music on indoor and outdoor stages, interactive art, art films featuring stop motion photography, and animation, lectures about using art to revitalize cities, meaningful kids art activities, interesting food, and plenty of artful surprises!
WPRB is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s event and station DJs will be showing off their skills at the event on the indoor stage! Don’t forget to stop by the WPRB booth and say hello, too!
