Saturday 2/2, 5-9AM ET: Scheduled Internet Maintenance

On Saturday, February 2 from 5:00 AM ET until 9:00 AM ET, the following services will unavailable to WPRB listeners:

During the scheduled downtime, you will still be able to listen to WPRB via the FM broadcast signal, call the station request telephone line, and view all other content at WPRB.com. These services will not be affected.

We appreciate your patience while Princeton University completes necessary work.

Technical Difficulties: WPRB's FM Signal Is Down

WPRB’s FM signal seems to be experiencing technical problems at the moment. If you tune to 103.3, you’ll hear static. Our streaming options are operating at 100%; you can still listen online!

We are currently working to correct the problem. We’ll update this post, as well as our Twitter feed with more news.

04:55 PM We think this might be a fiber optic issue due to campus construction; our engineer is “out in the field”.

05:02 PM Princeton’s IT folks have come to the station; we’re trying to see where the break is on the line.

05:28 PM We’re still checking our fiber optics.

07:04 PM …Aaaand we’re back on the FM signal! Our fiber optic issue has been resolved. Thanks for your patience in this matter!

Bleep, Bloop: WPRB's Webstream Is Being Sent To Rehab

Yes, we are having a little bit of trouble with our webstream (specifically our mp3 server) today! Our apologies, and we hope to have everything back up and running shortly.

You can still listen to WPRB through our RealAudio & Windows Media Player streams, however.

In the meantime, enjoy this lovely photo of our FM transmitter, which we are 100% positive works.

Tonight, We Feast Like Kings & Queens!

Today, WPRB’s Internet went down at the same time Princeton University’s Staff Picnic was underway. Needless to say, we couldn’t get any work done and decided it was time to eat. If there is one thing I know about office downtime, eating always manages to bring the Internet back to life.

Here’s what various staff folks had to say about their meals:

Cody (Station Manager):Despite intense security and the constant fear of discovery, we pulled together as a unit and executed our daring lunch raid with audacity and precision, thereby proving yet again why they call us ‘Radio Destructor‘.”

JP (Traffic, Community, Tech Director): “Scrumptious.”

Maria T (Publicity & Promotions, Community, Sales): “I really enjoyed the veggie burger, but I regret having the cotton candy.”
