Bleep, Bloop, Blorp: Our Streaming Audio Is Back To Normal!

As previously mentioned, we had to discontinue online streaming audio in Real Player and Windows Media formats due to some technology issues.

Thankfully the delay in finding a solution was a short one! WPRB now has a permanent and stable 128kbps MP3 stream. In addition, we have brought back the Real Player and Windows Media streams.

Thank you for your patience during our technical difficulties — now listen away!

WPRB to Discontinue Windows Media & Real Audio Streams

Effective Monday 3/2, WPRB will discontinue its Windows Media and Real Audio player streams. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are looking forward to providing our listeners with a more permanent and stable streaming solution in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, it is still possible to listen to WPRB online via our MP3 stream.

Thanks for being patient with us as WPRB undergoes some ch-ch-changes!

Technical Difficulties: WPRB's FM Signal Is Down

WPRB’s FM signal seems to be experiencing technical problems at the moment. If you tune to 103.3, you’ll hear static. Our streaming options are operating at 100%; you can still listen online!

We are currently working to correct the problem. We’ll update this post, as well as our Twitter feed with more news.

04:55 PM We think this might be a fiber optic issue due to campus construction; our engineer is “out in the field”.

05:02 PM Princeton’s IT folks have come to the station; we’re trying to see where the break is on the line.

05:28 PM We’re still checking our fiber optics.

07:04 PM …Aaaand we’re back on the FM signal! Our fiber optic issue has been resolved. Thanks for your patience in this matter!

Bleep, Bloop: WPRB's Webstream Is Being Sent To Rehab

Yes, we are having a little bit of trouble with our webstream (specifically our mp3 server) today! Our apologies, and we hope to have everything back up and running shortly.

You can still listen to WPRB through our RealAudio & Windows Media Player streams, however.

In the meantime, enjoy this lovely photo of our FM transmitter, which we are 100% positive works.
