We begin this week’s WPRB News and Culture with a segment of News Today, where host Gabriella Watts reports on sex trafficking in New Jersey and the rest of the United States. She speaks with representatives of women’s shelters and discusses federal and state laws on prostitution.
Next, J.M. Colon talks with Emily Lever about her article on the rape culture of Princeton campus and with Joel Newberger about his review of the Greek avante-garde filmmaker Gregory Markopoulos in Monday Evenings with the Nass.
The show ends with an episode of Culture Corner. Vincent Presti interviews Julia Bumke, who directed “Sunday in the Park with George,” and Julia Hammer, who directed “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.”
Keep an eye out for these other hot shows every Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM:
- Fireside Poetry – A poetry discussion show in which the host, often with the help of a guest poet, will talk about a single poet’s work in a casual setting.
- Hot Air – A debate show in which Princeton students face off to discuss the issues of our time.
