WPRB FAQ:

Q: I want to hear a song on WPRB. How do I make a request?
A: The answer to that question is quite simple. Just call (609) 258-1033 or (609) 258-1233.

Q: Dude, I heard this really awesome song yesterday at like 5:00. What was it? Can you tell me?
A: We'll do what we can. We hold onto playlists for a while, so we can probably check. It helps if you know the artist or title of what you're searching. Saying "I heard this song with guitars at some point last month" is not going to help. You can email the music directors at music@wprb.com or check out individual DJs' playlists via WPRB's schedule page. We make no guarantees that we'll be able to find out what was played, but we'll do our best.

Q: Do you accept unsigned artists or artists on independent labels?
A: YES!!! The vast majority of the music we play is from artists who are unsigned or on independent labels. For a more complete answer to why we play independent stuff, go here. For info on how to submit stuff, see the next question.

Q: How do I submit music to WPRB?
A: Send it to:
WPRB Music Director
30 Bloomberg Hall
Princeton, NJ 08544
We listen to everything that gets sent our way, and if we like it, we'll play it. Please DO NOT email us .wavs or .mp3s because we won't listen to or play them.

Q: I live near Princeton and want to get involved with WPRB. How do I do that?
A: We are primarily a student-run station, but we do allow members of the community to get involved. If you are a high school student in the area, we are always looking for interns to help out around the station. For more information about getting involved, email our program director.

Q: Can I advertise on WPRB?
A: YES!! You can advertise with us. We are a non-profit commercial station, so all of our operating expenses are covered through ads. If you wish to advertise, check out our sales page or contact our sales director at 609-258-3656 or at sales@wprb.com.

Q: I have a non-profit organization or free public event that I want to promote. Can I submit a public service announcement to you?
A: PSAs should be sent to our community affairs director at community@wprb.com.

Q: My band wants to play a show in Princeton on our next tour. Who do I contact about that?
A: Unfortunately, WPRB does not have its own venue for bands to play in. There are other options in the area, but we are not the ones to contact about them. For a list of area clubs, check out WPRB's local venues page.

Q: How do I promote a show at my club on WPRB? Do you do ticket giveaways?

A: At 3:30 pm ET and 7:00 pm ET, the DJ reads the WPRB Concert Calendar on-air, listing off shows at venues in New York City, Philadelphia, and throughout New Jersey. We also do ticket giveaways. To get your show listed on the WPRB Concert Calendar, contact our publicity and promotions director at calendar@wprb.com.
